Herewith this email I would like to ask for your help to identify whether my bangle is real jade or not and secondly, whether my bangle is color enhanced or not.
I enjoy reading your writing and feel amused to your skillful experience in valuable gem stones. Since in my country here, there are no such a gem stones expert like you.
At last, here I enclose the picture of my bangle of which I asked for your advice.
Thank you for your kindly help.
Thank you again for your enquiry.
Most probably this jade bangle is the Type B Jadeite Jade, that is, it has been enhanced and impregnated with polymer. It looks too unnatural on the photos.
These two posts, Your Jade Bangle Is A Dud…. and The Making of Type B Jadeite Jade would be able to give you some ideas why I consider your bangle is Type B.
I will be putting up a post to explain how an equipment called FTIR (Fournier Transform InfraRed) would be able to detect the polymers inside a jade bangle.
Do look out for this post.
